Ricciardo’s fighting talk
Daniel Ricciardo has told the BBC’s top Gear program and reporters that he believes he can become world champion. The Australian said “So the time has come…I believe Lewis has got the crown at the moment so it would be nice to take at least one title off him.”
Ricciardo was the only man to beat the Mercedes drivers last season. He said that he hoped to win more races and that improvements have been made during the winter.
“Everyone is going to improve, that’s a fact,” said Ricciardo. “But you’d like to think that Mercedes’ room for improvement is smaller than everyone else’s because I think they made so much of it last year.”
