AUSTRALIAN GP: Rosberg fastest in first practice as Hamilton pushes him

Nico Rosberg has gone fastest during first practice for the Australian Grand Prix. But the main story was that manor would get there first chance to run while it was more fun at Mercedes as they donned Red Noses for Comic Relief.

Rosberg picked up where the team left of last season setting the fastest lap earlier in the session. While the Ferrari’s were best of the rest it was Lewis Hamilton who shortly went second. The youngest man to start a race this weekend Max Verstappen made a few errors on track but manage to get through the session ok.

Daniel Ricciardo manage to spin his Red Bull on the exit of  the Senna corner. But Sauber failed to run saying it is too complicated to tell the media why the couldn’t run the cars.

Valtteri Bottas worked his way up to third for Williams. But Mercedes who picked up where they left off in Abu Dhabi with Rosberg ahead of Hamilton by .029.
